Shimpo Drives has an warehouse opening for a person to do assembly of cyclical reducers and metallic traction drives per specifications. This person will assemble new products, trouble shoot and assist in rebuilding returned units, assist in painting, and help in inventory control and general warehouse maintenance.

Qualifications include high school education or equivalent experience, minimum of two years assembly experience, preferably in motors, ability to read and understand component assembly relationships, and the ability to operate various hand tools and equipment, including computer, hoist, hand truck, and small hand tools. Fork lift experience is preferred, but if not current, will be trained.

Physical demands require frequent standing and the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The work environment is typical of that found in a warehouse, and may include exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles, occasional loud noises and temperatures of varying ranges.

The Drives Assembly is a full time non-exempt position at our facility in Itasca, IL. Hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
