Shimpo Instruments is accepting applications for the position or Inside Technical Sales for our Itasca Corporate Headquarters. The person in this position will support Shimpo Instruments on product needs, applications and electrical requirements, support the sales group on electrical issues, improve and maintain quality control and continually improve existing products and components.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus at least two years experience in a related industry; ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering documents, schematics, diagrams, electrical circuits and procedure manuals; attention to detail and accuracy; and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Shimpo Ceramics, creators of the revolutionary Whisper line of potter wheels, is looking for a dynamic and personable individual to be our primary liaison for our customers, dealers, and prospects in the Chicagoland area. This person will promote Shimpo's line of ceramic equipment including pottery wheels, electric kilns, and pug mills, and represent the company through demonstrations, workshops and participating at teachers conferences and other appropriate events.
This full time position is based at corporate headquarters in Itasca, Illinois, but will involve up to 50% travel.

Candidates should have prior knowledge and use of ceramic equipment, including potter's wheels, electric kilns, pug mills and slab rollers. Inside and/or outside sales experience is highly desired. The ability to speak in front of others is essential.
